Do I need to issue a Pay As You Go (PAYG) Payment Summary when paying a pension from my Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF)?
According to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) a PAYG Payment Summary will need to completed if the trustee has:

2. The member is aged under 60 years of age; and
3. The member is aged 60 years and above and the taxable component contains an untaxed element.
PAYG Payment Summary will not be required if:

2. The purchase price (member's balance) does not include a taxable component;
3. The pension is death benefit and the deceased was over 60 years of age.
