ATO will start using data from property management software companies to assist landlords / taxpayers with their tax affairs and compliance.

According to the Gazette notice from the ATO the objectives of this program are:

• Help taxpayers to lodge their tax returns.
• Correctly report assessable income.
• Correctly report associated rental deductions.
• Comply with Capital Gains obligations.
